Obituary of Harry Vriesema

VRIESEMA, Harry R. age 77 of Ridgewood died peacefully at his home on Saturday. December 29, 2012. Born and raised in Midland Park, Harry moved to Ridgewood in 1965. Harry was a lifelong self employed Landscape contractor in the Northwest Bergen County area. He was an active member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church where he served as a Deacon. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara (nee Blom), his devoted children, Richard and his wife Kathy, William and his wife Judy, John and his wife Sandi and Linda and her husband Jack Boonstra. Harry also leaves his 15 grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Allison, Michael, Michelle, Jess (Christine), Jacob, Kelise, Kristen (Peter), Jonathan, Matthew and Katie Vriesema, and Timothy, Jonathan and Leah Boonstra. He is also survived by his brothers Henry, Samuel and Kenneth. Harry was pre-deceased by his sister Carolyn Dykshoorn in 2001. Interment will be in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9:30 AM. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church, 183 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
