Obituary of Antoinette Gibbs

Antoinette “Toni” Gibbs, age 80, of TheKentshire in Midland Park, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Toni grew up in the Delawanna section of Clifton and in Passaic Park, she attended Pope Pius XII High School in Passaic. Toni and her husband Don Gibbs lived in Rutherford before moving to Midland Park in 1971 where she spent the last 49 years. She is survived by her sons, Drew Gibbs and Geoff Gibbs, daughters in law, Sharon Gibbs and Michell Paetzold-Gibbs and her grandchildren Ashley Gibbs, Brian Gibbs, Caroline Gibbs, Tabitha Gibbs and Shane Gibbs. Toni was predeceased by her Husband, Donald Gibbs in 2004 and her brother, Patrick LeGassic in 2006. An avid reader, Toni worked as a library assistant in Midland Park, Waldwick, Upper Saddle River, Allendale and Hawthorne. She enjoyed helping library patrons and had a kind word for everyone she came in contact with. Along with books Toni loved history and philosophy and traveling throughout Europe. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Midland Park Library in her memory. Due to the recent Covid-19/Coronavirus situation and out of concern for the safety of all in the community, private services will be held.
