I also met Ellen and Bruce at Pullman Kellogg many, many years ago. Right from the start Ellen and I became friends and I will remember the good times we had bowling and even just at work. Although, we didn't always keep in touch, I was lucky to meet up with her last year and once again many laughs were had. I am thankful that I had the chance to be her friend and will remember her in my heart forever. With my deepest sympathy to her family, may her memories and good times help you through this difficult time. May she rest in peace. Cathy Zollo

I don't know how to express my deep sadness at the loss of your mom. My heart is broken. She was my friend for over forty years. We met at Pullman Kellogg where the memories began. The friendships we made at Kellogg were so special and included your dad. We were lunch pals, bowling partners, pre-cana class buddies, birthday cake bakers, and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding to name just a few. Although we didn't keep in touch as much as we would have liked while raising our families (an occasional phone call and photo Christmas cards), I feel so blessed we were better at it the last several years. You are proof that she was an amazing mom. She can rest in peace knowing her children have grown into good, kind, responsible and happy adults. May you find peace in knowing you gave her so much love and joy, and made her very proud.
Sincerely,
Lois Armstrong

Stephanie and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. Her Dad and my Mom were first cousins. You may have seen the picture I posted to her page on FB. I was thrilled to reconnect with her on FB. I'll be praying for your family.
Sincerely
Jo-Ellen

I can’t pin point just one memory of Ellen. All the memories are sort of smooshed together. She was like a second mother to me on the old block. We always reminisced about how great we all had it. There were always kids to play with and we were always outside. I got the same feeling running into my house as I did the Ross’. Ellen would be in the kitchen making lunch for everyone. She would smile and hug all of us each time. She made us feel safe and loved which is so important to have as a child. Ellen and my mom always told us stories about how they were sleep deprived, putting me and Brian in the same crib and drinking lots of coffee together or how when one of us would be napping they would walk to each others house holding the monitor. Thinking about the old block now is different because i am now the sleep deprived mom drinking tons of coffee. I do have close mom friends but I honestly can’t say I have an Ellen. Anyone would be lucky to have Ellen as a friend, a mom....as anything really. My mom was so lucky to have a best friend like that especially during those times.
As an adult I didn’t see Ellen as much but she was there for all the important events in my life and every time I saw her she always said the same thing about how lucky we were to have had the old block. I knew it then and I really know it now, Ellen was an amazing mom and person. She will be greatly missed.
