Over the years I went from calling her granny Vandervelt to grandma Marion. I don't know how many people know that Marion would write a note to my grandmother Emma McCracken on a regular basis. Mygrandmother who was Marion's first cousin and a residentresident of the Christian healthcare Center for the last 10 years of her life suffered from dementia amongst other things and grandma Marion/Emma's cousin took the time to reach out to her cousin on a regular basis through notes. I feel blessed that I saw Marion at Indian Hills high school for the graduation of her grandson June 2015. I was at the graduation for my girlfriend's daughter's graduation. Grandma Marion was bright eyed with her rosy cheeks and with a big smile and her trademark voice said "hi Chris". After 40 years she is finally reunited with Herb and with the Lord. God bless her let's not mourn let's celebrate her life. My love goes out to aunt Marsha.

My family and I are so sorry to hear of your lose. Marian will be remembered by many . Please never forget our heavenly father does love us and everything he has told us has and will come true especially regarding the hope of seeing our loved ones again , John 5:28,29 and at that time death and pain will be no more, Rev. 21:3,4 my family and I would like to give our deepest sympathy and condolences at this most difficult time.

Thoughts and prayers are with all of you, in the loss of Marian. How wonderful that she lived such a long and active life - and that four generations knew her! That is a rare gift and a real blessing. Though that doesn't make her loss any less difficult, it is something to cherish.
