Obituary of Danielle J. Ackerman

ACKERMAN, Danielle J. (nee Bowman) age 75 of Allendale, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Born in Buffalo, NY, Danielle has been a lifelong resident of Allendale. In her early career Danielle worked as a bookkeeper for the North Jersey Bank in Ridgewood and the Lafayette Bank in Suffern, NY. Danielle enjoyed quilting, baking, cake decorating and was best known for her love of animals. Surviving is her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 52 years, Richard C. Ackerman, her devoted children, Adam S. Ackerman of Allendale and Julie and her husband Jeff Barteles of Allendale. Danielle also leaves her seven grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Jordan, Kylie, Adam, Jordanna and Jocelynn, and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Derrick. Also surviving are her brother and sister, Roland Bowman and Jacqueline Bowns. Danielle was pre-deceased by her brother, John Hall Bowman II. The Ackerman family will receive friends on Thursday 2:00 until 5:30 followed by a service of remembrance at 5:30 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
