My dearest Aunt Danielle,
May you rest with peacefulness of mind, heart, and body. May you no longer feel pain. Know that you will be remembered always. You shared more special gifts with your family than you ever realize in life, even though we often told you so. Your love of family, of quilting, antiques, cooking, TV watching, the shore, horticulture/gardening, your love of the birds who called your many birdhouses "home, " and your ability to always pick the perfect card. I so proudly display the demitasse tea cups and saucers of Nana's that you offered to me a few years ago. I so appreciated your kindness in letting me have such sentimental items. Remembering the many cookouts, Bocce ball games in the backyard, your trains and Christmas village under your tree each year, all the amazing pies you tirelessly made each Thanksgiving, your taste in wallpaper that always made your house feel like a home. I remember family time in Maine, sharing Mother's Day with you and Mom at Castle on the Hudson in New Paltz, NY (so happy to see you smile and have a light in your eyes that day), the 50-60's concert you, me , and Uncle Rich shared at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts years ago....such fun! Thank you for being my Lamaze Coach and witnessing the birth of my son, Joshua in 1990. I was as proud to have you with me, as you were to be there! You were a talented, emotional, very caring, sentimental, too humble for your own good, woman who never gave yourself enough credit. If only you could have seen the very special aunt, mother, sister, wife, grandmother and great grandmother that we all saw, knew, and loved dearly.
