Obituary of Arlene J. Seiders

Arlene J. Seiders passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was 80. She was the wife of the late Ronald Seiders, sister to the late Earl Josten and is survived by her son, Jay Seiders, his wife Terry and a beloved granddaughter, Kaylee. Born in Prospect Park, she was a longtime resident of Midland Park before moving to Hawthorne. Arlene taught in the Midland Park School District for 22 years before retiring in 2002. She was an active member in the Alumni Association of the New Jersey State Teacher's College at Paterson, and a member of the Archer United Methodist Church in Allendale, where she sang in the choir. Arlene loved to travel, play mahjong, frequent Atlantic City and spend quality time with her granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 9:00 AM the Archer United Methodist Church, 37 E. Allendale Ave., Allendale, NJ 07401. Interment will follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Park in Fair Lawn. Contributions in Arlene’s memory may be made to the Archer United Methodist Church.
