Obituary of Michael Storm Fischer

Fischer, Michael Storm, age 23, of Ringwood passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012. Born in Ridgewood, he was a lifelong resident of Ringwood. Michael received an Associate's Degree in Mass Media and was just shy of receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, PA. He was a graduate of the Lakeland Regional High School Class of 2007. Mike's love of life showed in all his activities, including biking, running, photography, fixing and tinkering with engines of all sorts, and even doing yard work. He brought his enthusiasm to every meeting, event, race, or gathering he attended. He earned his Eagle Scout at the young age of 14 (often in the rain). Mike's presence will be greatly missed by all. Mike is survived by his parents, Robert M. and Mary Ann (nee Loeper) Fischer of Ringwood; his brothers, Nathaniel and Zak Fischer, both of Ringwood; his maternal grandmother, Marie Loeper of Reading, PA and his paternal grandmother, Carol Fischer of Huntington Station, NY. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his two grandfathers, Robert P. Loeper in 2012 and Dr. Martin P. Fischer in 1984. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1-5 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A brief prayer service will follow at 5 pm.
