Mr Storm we made great memories and had so much fun you me and jocelyn. i remember when we all met in photography class and how we laughed at everything. my favorite memory though had to be when we tried convincing you to go to prom and party it upp! and you refused to even when we said we'd be your dates. you said if i show up there id only do it instyle..on his go kart lol. sounds like something he'd do considering he's the boy that showed up to school dressed as a marathon biker and brought the bike around with him all day! i wish he would of showed up on his go kart though it would of been very cool and we all would of had alot of fun plus he would of been the man since he would of had two dates.
i'm sorry i won't be attending your service today but i choose not to because i want to remember you with a smile on your face and bringing smiles to the people around. i love you my friend and i'll always remember you. RIP <3 Mr Storm!

For the entire Fischer family, my heart breaks for your huge loss. Michael seemed like such a fine, young man....when I saw him at the cross-country alumni races and even at Stop and Shop when you came in and you had all three boys with you. I'm so very sorry for your loss and there are no words to express the tears that I have cried knowing the pain you are all in. I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and heart.

Rob and Family, My heart goes out to you in your time of grieving, even from Norway. I only heard about your loss today from a co-worker. I did not have the privilege of knowing Mike very well, but I remember seeing him in the local parks or helping out with paddle days events. He was kind, intelligent, thoughtful and I hope that I can take a part of your grief today. My thoughts are with you.

My love goes out to the whole Fischer family. Please know that I am thinking of you all at this hard time. Some of my greatest memories from when I was a kid was going over to babysit all of the Fischer boys (although I know I technically probably wasn't babysitting Michael because he was the "big kid" of the family). Michael always had time for his younger brothers, showing them the ropes and just being an all around good guy. It was such a pleasure to watch you all grow up into such promising young men and I am truly heartbroken for your family. Though I hadn't seen Michael in a few years, I feel like I was lucky to have known him as he was growing up. His love for the outdoors and adventure of any kind will always stick in my mind, and I will always think of Michael as truly great older brother to Nathaniel and Zak with brains and a quirky sense of humor. Our tightly knit neighborhood has suffered a great loss with the loss of Michael, but I hope that the strength of our community can give you strength at this time. Mr and Mrs. Fischer, I am sorry that that I can't be there for the services since but please know that you, Nathaniel and Zak are all in my thoughts and prayers and that the whole Specia family is here for you if you ever need anything.

RIP Michael Storm, i've never meet a man with so much heart as you had. i am so grateful we meet our senior year in high school and you let me call you my friend. you taught me things no one else could. i know as time grew on we didnt see each other often but we still never lost that connection and kept in touch through fb, texting, facetime, etc. i feel like this is just some bad dream bc we literally just talked a few days ago..this truth hurts and my heart cries that youve have been taken so young. i love you my friend..ill miss your jokes, your advice, your voice, and your smile. youve always meant alot to me and youve touched so many peoples heart in ways you probably didnt understand. i will miss you always and keep a big place for you in my heart ♥

Michael had that awesome middle name "Storm", having been born during the time when our neighborhood was dealing with the effects of the "Ringwood Tornado"...You just knew he was going to be a cool kid with that kind of name....and whenever you heard very loud engine type noises from around the block, or something whizzing by very quickly, you knew it was Michael...He will be missed in our neighborhood.

I can't even begin to explain it, Little Mike at Yaw Paw, all those rainy backpacking trips together, so many special times, a special bond, a fourteen year old boy who called me on my life view, and taught me the meaning of being true to yourself. My most special memory…my little friend and canoe partner on the Oswegatchie. I hope the universe is big enough for us Mike. Always love you.

In woodshop, Mike was one of the few kids who would always stop and help me out if I got confused on how to make something. He was a real pro, and one of the best kids I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I'm sorry it had to be you Mike, and I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you sooner.
I hope there is a place beyond life that you find happiness. Thanks for all the help Mike, thanks for being a good guy & a good friend. That's how you will always be remembered.

Mike-
I heard the news while I was hiking down the white trail; a trail that you created in Ringwood State Park. I was initially in shock, and I still am, but I always knew you had a need for speed...and you were doing what you loved. I always looked up to you for that, for following your dreams and pursuing your passions in life. We used to spend hours in the woods building dirt jumps, but none was too big or scary for you. You taught me how to mountain bike, and outdoor skills that I continue to utilize to this day. For this and many more things, I am eternally greatful to you, Michael Storm Fischer. Ride em' high brother. <3

Mike was not a real adventerous eater. For someone who burned so many calories as an outdoors person and runner he found comfort in really basic foods. He always had time and room for ice cream. Because of the geographical distance we did not get to spend much time together but the few times we did, especially as a teenager and young adult, shared good conversation over a dish of ice cream. Mike, save a scoop for me on the other side. Love Aunt Vickie

I can think of few words to comfort Michael's family and many friends as they sort through the sadness, so I'll just say "Thank you" for the privilege of sharing his Penn College life. So many students move in and out of our orbit, leaving little trace of ever having been there. Michael was different: an indescribable character with a quiet and quirky sense of humor, a carefree demeanor, and a mischievous eye for the extraordinary within the everyday. It will be difficult to walk by his desk, a daily reminder that he won't be back to campus. But I will cherish the memory of working with him - and learning from him - and I will have his photographs, the enduring and unique way in which he looked at our world.

Dear MaryAnn & Rob, There are no words to comfort you at this time and I can't even begin to imagine what you are going thru. I know you and the boys will draw some strength from many family members and friends to get through this physically. The challenge will be to go on and somehow that will happen with Michael at the emotional core of the 4 of you. May God watch over all of you at this difficult time. Cousin Kathy
