Obituary of Joseph J Kroth

Kroth, Joseph J., age 76, of Franklin Lakes, formally of Wyckoff, died peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Villa Marie Claire, Saddle River. Joseph was born in New York, NY and had resided in Wyckoff for 41 years before moving to Franklin Lakes. Joseph proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Viet Nam War from 1957 until 1962. He was a Tax Director for John Labatte, Inc. in Watchung, NJ for nine years, retiring in 1997. Joseph was the proprietor of Joseph J. Kroth Tax Accountant for over 50 years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Elizabeth RC Church, Wyckoff, where he served as an usher for many years. When not working, Joe loved to spend his time at the casinos, reading and dining with his family. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Henrietta (nee Cavallero). Joseph is survived by his daughters, ToniAnn Di Domizio and her husband Michael, of Washingtonville, NY, and Keri Rigoli and her husband, James of Wyckoff. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; Matthew, Gabriella, Nicholas, Sophia and Francesca, who were the delight of his life. Joe will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 28th at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 with the interment following at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery, Wyckoff.
