Obituary of Andrew Washnik

Washnik, Andrew B. "Andy" age 58 of Waldwick died Sunday, April 17, 2011. Born in New York City, he lived in Teaneck before moving to Waldwick 24 years ago. Andy was a graphic designer, photographer and track and field coach for Park Ridge High School. He was a member and former president of ASMP. Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Connie (nee Bottie) Washnik, his daughter Tanya and son Nick, his mother Carole Washnik of Harrington Park, his three sisters, Ellen Sztogryn of Point Pleasant, NJ, Roberta Doyle of Monroe, NY and Joyce Washnik of Harrington Park, NJ, and his mother-in-law, Catherine Stirber of Lake Barrington, IL. Also surviving are numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and great nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday 2-6 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Private cremation will be held.
