Obituary of Anthony Giamanco

GIAMANCO Anthony, J., age 80, died peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a resident of Wyckoff. Anthony was Director of Sales and Marketing for Bill Communications, New York City until retiring in 2001. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a member of the VFW, Midland Park. Anthony was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, Wyckoff where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife Anne, to whom he was married for 55 wonderful years, his son Thomas and wife Bonnie of Wyckoff, his daughter Geralyn Curcio and husband Thomas of Wyckoff and his daughter Carol Haynes and husband James of Franklin, MA. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Anthony J. and Gianna Giamanco and Danielle and Thomas Curcio, Jr. and his sister Rosalie Vitale and husband Frank of Port St. Lucie, FL. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Prayers, Thursday, 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Entombment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005, would be appreciated.
