Obituary of Daniel DeRose

DEROSE, Daniel, age 82, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Daniel was born in Newark, he has lived in Wyckoff since 1982. He was President of Major Products Company of Little Ferry, NJ, a company he established in 1951 and grew into a highly respected, multi-national food manufacturing company. Daniel served in the US Navy during World War II. Surviving is his loving wife Susan, his son Daniel and his wife Devon of Hillsdale, his daughter Valerie of Hoboken, and his adored granddaughter Alexis. He is also survived by his brother Ralph of Secaucus, his sister Anne Marie DiPaola of Emerson, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Daniel was pre-deceased by his parents Daniel and Angelina. Visiting hours are Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481, www.vpfh.com. Funeral service will be 10:30am on Saturday at Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
