Obituary of Joseph Mazzola

MAZZOLA, Joseph Michael age 53 of Waldwick, Died Sunday, July 26, 2009. Joe was born in Jersey City on December 11, 1955. He was raised in Hoboken and graduated from Hoboken High School in 1973. He later moved to North Bergen and has been a resident of Waldwick for the past 6 years. Surviving is his loving mother Maria (nee Cuccaro) Mazzola, his brother Ralph Mazzola and Lucille Donatacci of Cedar Grove and his sister Susan and her husband Anthony Baglino of Allendale. Joe also leaves behind his adoring nieces Melissa, Stacy, Courtney, Brittney and Ashley. Joe was pre-deceased by his father Cataldo Mazzola in 1991. Joe was a beloved Yankee and Giant's Fan, loved animals, and especially "Mopsy." Joe loved to travel, Hawaii being one of his favorite destinations. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at the Guardian Angel R. C. Church, 320 Franklin Tpk., Allendale, NJ. Cremation will be at the Cedar Lawn Crematory in Paterson. Visiting is Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
