Uncle Harold was the uncle every little girl would want. Many decades have passed since he tousled me, allowed me to climb all over him, and rearrange his amazing head of thick red hair. Although the decades have passed, my memories have not. As a grown woman I realized he was one of the kindest men on earth. Thank you for the happiness you brought to my life. Rest in peace, Uncle Harold.

I am so sorry that I won't be able to attend the service, but I'll be there in thought. I have always enjoyed visiting with Harold over the years. We would talk about the post office and how it's changed. He would sympathize with any problems I was having there. I also liked hearing his war stories and wished I had heard more. I will really miss him. Love, Joyce

A very special man! Cared about and listened to others. Unjudgmenetal and accepting of all. On occasion I had the enlighting opportunity to speak to him, to listen to his stories and, he would listen to me as well. He told me in 60 years of marriage he only remembered one argument with his wife. Very brave at end of life, never complained or felt sorry for himself. A father that you would had to see, words can do him justice. A life time love affair with his wife. ~ It's funny how through life things change, sometimes taking our loved ones away, but still in life a gift is left to helps us ease the pain, memories of a loved one and how we loved them so, memories that are ours forever a gift we never have to let go, close your eyes and see them the mind's eye is a wonderful thing, the face, the eyes, the smile, and all the joy that memory can bring, and at times you might feel their presence, perhaps the gentleness of their touch, and if you're really quiet you might hear them whisper, "I'll forever love you so very much, " so please don't weep with sorrow tomorrow is promised to no one, just hold on tight with all your might, to the gift that's been left behind ~.
