Obituary of Alida Fenners

FENNERS, Alida (nee Douma) age 77, died peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Alida was born in Prospect Park on December 27, 1930. She lived in North Haledon before moving to Wyckoff 38 years ago. Alida worked as a receptionist at Servo-Tek Products in Hawthorne for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park. Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, George H. Fenners, her devoted son Dr. George D. Fenners and his wife Nancy of Wyckoff, and her adoring grandchildren, Amanda, Harrison and Alexa. Alida also leaves her sisters, Marie Schaper and Betty Klaassen, and her sister-in-law, Edith Sybesma. She was pre-deceased by her brother Charles Douma. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10:30 AM from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps., P.O.Box 214, Wyckoff, NJ 07481, or the Faith Reformed Church, 95 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ 07432.
