Obituary of Eugenia Ehrlich

EHRLICH, Eugenia M. (nee Rybacky), age 96, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, August, 15, 2008 at the Van Dyk Manor in Ridgewood. Eugenia was born in New York City. She was a 30 year resident of Teaneck where she raised her family and taught at St. Francis School in Ridgefield Park. In 1970 she moved to Mahwah where she was the eighth grade teacher at Immaculate Conception School for ten years before retiring in 1980. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, and famous for her Nana-Muffins. She is survived by her dear daughter Elaine E. Cimis and husband George of Mahwah and her dear son Clifford J. Ehrlich and wife Patricia of Potomac, MD. She is also survived by seven adored grandchildren, George Cimis of Tucson, AZ, Stephen Cimis and Ellen Cimis Howard both of Mahwah, Kathryn Cimis DeBiasse of Madison, NJ, Susan Ehrlich of Chicago, IL, Brian Ehrlich of Pleasanton, CA and Scott Ehrlich of New York, NY and six adored great-grandchildren David, Eric and Jennifer Howard of Mahwah and Avery, Emilia and Isabella Ehrlich of Pleasanton, CA. Eugenia was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 1966. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 900 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, NJ. Interment will follow in the Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. Visitation will be Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ (www.vpfh.com). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Food Action, 281 Campgaw Road #C2, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
