Obituary of Michael Reynald Swift

Michael Reynald Swift, age 41, died peacefully surrounded by his family after a long illness on Thursday, July 3, 2008. Born in Glen Ridge he lived in Wyckoff for the past 34 years. Michael was a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude. He was creative director for George P. Clarke Advertising of New York, NY. He is survived by his dear mother Laraine Allison (nee Valvano) and her husband George of Wyckoff, his dear father Renny and his wife Johanna of Mahwah, his brother Brian of Wyckoff, his step-sister Michelle Branagh and her husband Michael of Mahwah and his nephew Michael Branagh. Also survived by his Aunt Marie Valvano of Little Falls, Aunt Doris Duffie and her husband John of Gardnerville, NV, his Uncle Eugene Valvano and his wife Candy of Randolph, and his five cousins; Mary Valvano, Candace Valvano, Elizabeth Feeney and husband Thomas, Nicole Bell and husband Eric, and Mathew Duffie. Friends may visit the family on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. Funeral service, Tuesday, 8:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass, 9:30 AM at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park.
