Obituary of Jerome Ptasienski

Jerome - "Jerry" Ptasienski died on Monday, March 24, 2014. He was 75. Born in Passaic he lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Midland Park. Jerry served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Before retiring in 2001, he worked as a Sales Engineer for ITT Marlow Pumps in Midland Park for 40 years. He was a member of the Midland Park United Methodist Church served as trustee and was a choir member, he was a charter member of the Twin Brook Duffers, a member of the Hobbyist in Ridgewood, and an avid golfer. He was a member of the AMC Bowling League in Oakland where he bowled a perfect 300. He was the loving husband to Judith A. (Osborn) for 51 years. Loving father and grandfather to Gregory Ptasienski Osborn and his wife Elizabeth of Ridgewood and their children: Alexandra, Christian and Zachary, Kenneth Ptasienski Osborn and his wife Susan of Westport, CT and their children: Morgan, Kelsey and Henry, Bradley Ptasienski Osborn and his wife Christine of Glen Rock and their children Portia and Eliza. Jerry is also survived by his sister Janet Myer her husband Frank and their four children of Old Bridge. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 1:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will take place on Friday at the Midland Park United Methodist Church, 269 Godwin Ave., Midland Park at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to the Midland Park United Methodist Church.
