Obituary of George White

WHITE, George S. age 84 of Manasquan, NJ formerly of Allendale, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. George was born in Dedham, MA on April 21, 1924. He lived in Allendale and Harwichport, MA before moving to Manasquan in 1998. George was the National Sales Manager for Lederle Labs in Pearl River, NY for 35 years before retiring in 1987. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy aboard the USS Force where he received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in the South Pacific. George was a parishioner of Guardian Angel R.C. Church in Allendale and St. Dennis R.C. Church in Maasquan. Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Rosemary (nee Masciarelli), his devoted children, Susan and her husband Chris Greimel of Allendale, Steve White and his wife Janet of Ho-Ho-Kus, Jeanne and her husband Roger Kreutzer of Sea Girt, the late Robert White (1997) and his wife Marianna of Dumont and the late Lynn White (1948). George also leaves 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and his sister Alice Rearick of Canton, MA. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at the Guardian Angel R.C. Church, 320 Franklin Tpk., Allendale. Interment will be in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
