Obituary of Valerie Petro

PETRO, Valerie Lea, age 55, died peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2008 at her home. Born in the Jackson Heights section of Queens, NY, she resided in Wyckoff. Valerie was a graphic designer, artist and author. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth R.C. church of Wyckoff. She is survived by her fiancé Mark Johnson and her daughter Lauren Marley of Wyckoff, her mother Patricia Petro of Lawrenceville, GA, her two brothers Gene Petro and his wife Kathy of Snellvile, GA and Chris Petro and his wife Jean of Hillsdale as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff (vpfh.com). A funeral mass will take place on Friday, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Flowers and/or memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospital Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home during the visiting hours and service.
