Obituary of Ruth Gattoni

Ruth S. Gattoni died on Monday, February 17, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was 90. Born in Union Hill, NJ she was a long time resident of Wyckoff. She was a secretary for Johnson & Higgins in New York. Ruth was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church and volunteer at the economy shop in Wyckoff. Ruth's granddaughter Elizabeth Gattoni died previously. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Richard Gattoni; Three sons: Richard Stephen Gattoni, Jr. and his wife Patricia, William Charles Gattoni and his wife Debra, and Stephen Anthony Gattoni and his wife Jacqueline; two daughters: Carol Ruth Lohne and her husband Peter and Susan Alida Kelly and her husband Dennis; 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will follow at the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
