Joanie,James,Bobby,Bill: My deepest sympathy to you for your loss. As a child, I remember to this day your mother as having a heart of gold. She would invite us (Raymond,Bill and Jackie) to your house,(Lakeview Ave.) to watch a movie,on one of the first black and white TV's in the neighborhood. She would supply the gum/candy. Usually it was a "scary movie" and after watching it we would run home scared but happy. We had no TV and appreciated the fact that your mom invited us in to your home. Truly this was an act of kindness, just one of many performed by your wonderful mother. Where has the time gone? Jack Vivino (309 Maryland Ave.,Paterson) Now residing in Wayne.

Bob and Joanne, I am in Kansas City and in a few minutes will leave for the church for the funeral of a very good friend. In fact, Marcia and I were with her at Sanibel Captiva the week before Easter. I am going to be an honorary pallbearer. You can imagine my shock when I opened my e-mail prior to leaving for the church to learn about your mother. I haven't even called Marcia yet, but will do so momentarily. She is at home. I am sure she will join with me in offering our prayers and condolences. Your mother lived a long and full life. Although I met her only once, I knew her to be a strong and good woman. One of the best standards to use in evaluating the life of a person is the character of her kids. Your life has brought honor to your mother and we are proud to have known both of you. I will return home Tuesday and will look forward to being with you and Joanne soon. Jerry

So sorry to hear of Dora's passing. She was a VERY special lady I enjoyed visiting and learning from. Whenever I visited with her she always taught me something, made me laugh, think and realize how very blessed we are to live our lives. She was a wonderful story teller and I enjoyed hearing about her life and her family, who she adored. She always had a story about her grandchildren or great grandchildren. I will miss her and her life lessons. I feel blessed to have known her.
