Obituary of Mathilda Babcock

BABCOCK, Mathilda K. "Tillie", (nee Kruithof), age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 14, 2008. Born in Midland Park, she was a life-long resident. Tillie was an assembly line worker with General Packaging of Waldwick for nineteen years until retiring in 1982. She was a member of Faith Reformed Church of Midland Park. Predeceased by her beloved husband Walter in 1992, she is survived by her son and three daughters: James A. Babcock, Sr. and his wife Shirley of New Carrollton, MD, Mary Ellen Randalls and her husband Alan of Midland Park, Laura Sue Nolan and her partner Roger Wells of Midland Park and Robin Lea Grogan and her husband John of High Point, NC. Tillie is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her brother Arthur "Bud" Kruithof of Midland Park. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Olthuis Funeral Home, (www.olthuisfuneralhome.com) 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park. Funeral service, Monday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood.
