Obituary of Ralph Grossmann

GROSSMANN, Ralph N., Jr. "Bud" age 76, died peacefully at his home on Monday, December 9, 2013. Born in Ridgewood, Bud lived in Allendale before moving to Wyckoff in 1959. In his early career Bud was Fleet Manager and Purchasing Agent for Samuel Braen Companies. Later he would be Fleet Maintenance Manager for the County of Bergen. Bud was a member of the Fleet Maintenance Club of NJ and the Fleet Maintenance Council of the NJ Motor Truck Association. Bud was also a prominent and active honorary member of Protection Fire Company # 1 of Wyckoff. Surviving is his devoted sons Ralph and his wife Susan and Richard and his wife Kristin. Bud also leaves his 6 grandchildren, Ralph, IV, Jack, Matthew, Greta, Hannah and Katie, his brother Robert Simpson, and a niece Diane Milenik and her husband Alexander. He was pre-deceased by his son Thomas in 1976. The Grossmann family will receive family and friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at the funeral home followed by interment in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Protection Fire Co. # 1, Scott Plaza, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
