She was the best history teacher ever! She made learning history fun. Mrs. D always had a smile on her face and a nice word to everyone. She will be missed not only by her loved ones, but by many, many previous students and teachers from Ramsey. Her love of teaching had shown through to help even those who were challenged to love history. They definitely don't make teachers like her anymore.
I was fortunate to have her for 7th grade history, the class always had fun hiding her lotion! Her love of snoopy has transcended to many generations of students!
God Speed Mrs. D., you will be missed. Have fun up there talking to your favorite generals and presidents.
Mr. D., know the your wife was loved by hundreds if not thousands! My heart hurts but I know with time it will heal. You two were a great couple, loved and respected my the whole town. I wish I could be there, but I hope you have everyone around you that you need to get through this rough time.
Hugs,
Vicki Munch

I have been blessed having known this wonderful women. Over 44 years ago she was my history teacher at Smith School in Ramsey. I can remember her in the class room as if it were yesterday. She instilled in me a life long love of history. It is rare that we meet someone so full of life and love as Mrs. D. (she will always be Mrs. D. My life is that much fuller having had her touch my life. I thank God for sending her my way. Some day we will meet again I am sure of it! Love you Mrs. D. until we meet again in heaven!

My thoughts and prayers to all those you touched that you leave behind. I sincerely hope you knew just how many people loved you. Whether you taught them or not. I was not one of your students, but have many fond memories of you. Getting to know your love of history, your students and your uncanny memory of all your students and the history of Ramsey just made me adore you even more. My heart aches that you are no longer here, but am grateful for the reconnection, your friendship and now knowing you are no longer suffering. Keep shining your light Mrs. D!
