Obituary of Alida Klein

Klein, Alida (de Waal Malefyt) age 81 of Wyckoff died Friday, March 7, 2008. Born in Hawthorne she lived in Wyckoff and Midland Park. Alida was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Ridgewood Center, Ridgewood before her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, Ridgewood where she had served as a Deacon. Alida volunteered at the Christian Health Care Center and The Valley Hospital for many years. She was a former volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Valley Hospice. Surviving are her sons, Bruce K. Klein of Hackensack and Duane K. and his wife, Karen Klein of Wantage, NJ. Her sister, Evelyn Conklin of Royal Palm Beach, FL and her brother, Karel de Waal Malefyt of Franklin Lakes, NJ. Also surviving are two grandchildren Nathanael and Rachael Klein. She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Klein in 1980 and her three brothers, Norman, Kenneth and Herman de Waal Malefyt. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 11 a.m. at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, Lincoln Ave. and West End Ave., Ridgewood, NJ. Private interment will be held.
