Obituary of Clarence Pruiksma

PRUIKSMA, Jr. Clarence "Clix" age 65 of Wyckoff, suddenly and peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 22, 2008. Clix was born in Paterson on February 2, 1943. A Wyckoff resident for the past 36 years, he was owner and manager of the family run restaurant known as Clixes in Wyckoff for more than 47 years. He enjoyed retirement for the past 2 years. Clix was a member of and former Chief of Community Engine Company #2 of the Wyckoff Fire Dept. and a faithful member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church. Surviving is his loving wife of 44 years, Doris (nee Hagedorn), his devoted children, Scott of Midland Park, Ron and his wife Jen of Wyckoff, and Marcy and her husband Steve Tyler of Midland Park. Clix also leaves his adoring grandchildren, Jake, Josh, Nick, Courtney, and Bailey, his sister Carole Arnoldi, and brothers David and Robert. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Hawthorne Gospel Church, 2000 US Highway 208, Hawthorne, NJ 07506. A private committal service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hawthorne Gospel Church Missions Fund. Arrangements by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff (www.vpfh.com).
