Obituary of Jacqueline Lindloff

Jacqueline H. Lindloff, nee Patault, died peacefully at home on September 13, 2013. She was 92. Jacqueline was born in Pargny-les-Reims, France. She emigrated from France as a war bride in 1946, after meeting her beloved husband, Martin, in Paris, December 1944. Martin, who predeceased her, took part in the D-Day Invasion on June 6, 1944 at Utah Beach with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Jacqueline was educated in England and in France before WW2. After the couple married at Christ Episcopal Church, Ridgewood, they settled in Wyckoff, NJ. She was a caring homemaker and often tutored French. Jacqueline was a devoted member of the Church of the Good Shepard in Midland Park for many years and served on the guild committee. She served as a volunteer at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, and enjoyed sharing her culture with the Alliance Francaise of Bergen County. She was a loving wife, mother and a friend to many. She was kind, generous of spirit and was a truly gentle soul. Jacqueline is survived by her two daughters, Virginia Kimball and husband Dudley of Ridgewood, and Janine Morgan and husband Ron of Saddle River. She is also survived by two loving grandsons, Jesse Kimball of Houston,TX, and Jeremy Kimball, and wife Danijela, of New York City. Jacqueline has a surviving sister, Odette Gaulon and a nephew, Jean-Pierre Gaulon, living in France and a devoted sister-in-law, Jane Lindloff of Boynton Beach, Florida. A memorial service honoring Jacqueline's life will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, Cottage Place, Ridgewood, on Saturday, September 21st, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 105 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ 07450 (Outreach Fund) or to MGH Center for Regenerative Medicine, Harvard Stem Cell Institute,185 Cambridge Street, Boston, MA 02114
