Obituary of Carlton Lowe
LOWE, Carlton Harrison. age 87 died on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Born in Arlington, VA, Carlton lived in Midland Park from 1959 to 1969 when he moved to Puerto Rico. He then returned to Midland Park in 1991. Carlton was a graduate of the University of Virginia, a member of the Anchor and Saber Club in New York, a member of the American Legion Post 130, member of VFW Post 7086, the Midland Park Planning Board, a member of Fidelity Lodge #113 F.&A.M. in Ridgewood and a Master Mason for over 50 years, a member of the Midland Park Valley Hospital Auxiliary, and received a Certificate of Commendation for volunteer of the year in 1999 from Bergen County, a former Vestry member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, former Union Church council member in Puerto Rico and a former member of the Lions Club of Midland Park. Carlton was an engineer for Flour Daniel in Puerto Rico. He is survived by Olga (nee SERA), his loving wife of 63 years, his daughter Barbara Lee of Bradenton, FL, son Carlton of Medford, NJ, daughter Alyce Jurgens Schenk of Sarasota, FL, and son Paul Boehringer of Lansdale, PA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Visiting is Wednesday, February 6, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481, www.vpfh.com. Funeral service is Thursday February 7, 11:30 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 497 Godwin Ave., Midland Park, NJ 07432, followed by a repast in the fellowship hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd.
