Obituary of Eneida de la Torre

DE LA TORRE, Eneida (nee Gimenez) age 99 of Wyckoff, died peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2013. Born in Baracoa, Cuba on September 11, 1913, Eneida came to the United States in 1946 settling with her family in New York City. In her early career she was a seamstress for the Juel Manufacturing Company in Manhattan, advancing to a sample maker. Eneida was a parishioner of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes. Surviving is her devoted daughter Maritza M. and her husband Joseph R. Bilodeau of Wyckoff, her adoring five grandchildren, Monique Ross, Michelle and Curt Post, Marlene and Wil Pons, Melinda and Christopher Benson and Ronald and Laura Bilodeau and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Cassandra, Kristen, Michelle, Rachel, Cayla, Christopher and Ava. Eneida was pre-deceased by her husband Esteban de la Torre in 1977. The de la Torre family will receive guests on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 10:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment will follow at the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
