Mary and Don McLaughlin posted a condolence
Saturday, July 6, 2013
Dear Mary and Family, What a warm, fun loving gentleman has returned to His Lord! When I first met your Dad, you were all so little!! I was probably 16!! Coopers drove me from Glen Rock to Ramsey to babysit you all!! Amazing!! that years later our families would meet in Ramsey. Walter always was so welcoming when we first arrived in Ramsey and our family kept growing!! Walter is watching over the McLaughlin family now from a higher place and you all will have him continue to root for you all from above!! Our prayers are certainly with you, Mary, and we will see you at his funeral liturgy on Tuesday. Mary and Don McLaughlin Sea Girt, NJ

Mark Wagner posted a condolence

There have been 3 generations of Wagner Keady associations, the first being Aunt Ellie and my uncle Buddy dating, as teenagers, and in these same years J Walter coached my dad in basketball at St. Luke's. My dad had a very old school set shot in which he pushed the basketball from his waist at the basket and I am sure that it was J Walter's Tutelage that had perfected that shot. I also remember J Walter talking about my dad's endurance and stamina. As my father was about 5'6" in heels, he needed more than just a set shot and a little muscle. J Walter used to always tell me how my dad could run forever. . . And now J Walter has begun his run at forever as well. I am sure he will be welcomes in the beyond. On earth, he was always welcoming and warm, and genuinely interested in our doings. And even if his advise might have fallen on youngsters ears, his willingness to offer it was a show of character and care. And that character and care was passed on to his children, and particularly his name sake, J Walter Jr. who has the same sense of interest and care and humor in the world. In any event, J Walter lived a good life and was a good father and provider and his strong compassion and endurance will bode well as he enters the new realm, the kingdom of God. While I know the family's grief will be heartfelt and difficult in this time, J Walter Keady will have the joy of heaven and the solace of eternity with which to live on. We wish you all well and reach out to you at this time. Much Love, The Wagners .
