Obituary of Anne Jadick

Jadick, Anne (nee Kirk), 81, of Franklin Lakes and Nantucket, MA passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 23. Beloved wife of Theodore Spencer Jadick. Loving mother of Theodore, Jr. and his wife, Janet, Michael and his wife Cristy, Liz Lavin, and Laurie Geiger and her husband, Michael. She was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, John Lavin, in 2012. Anne is also survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Achtermann and Margaret Haines, sister-in-law Carol Hanson and husband Richard, eleven grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Born in Lancaster, PA, on November 13, 1931, Anne graduated from Brown University in 1953, married Ted in 1954, and lived in Franklin Lakes for the past 51 years. A founding member of the Franklin Lakes Presbyterian Church, Anne served on many Church committees. She was Past President of the Franklin Lakes Library Board, the League of Women Voters, and a past member of the Indian Trail Club. Anne worked for Planned Parenthood for many years and was the Assistant Manager at the Wolff Gallery in Franklin Lakes & Wyckoff. She loved spending summers on Nantucket. Above all, Anne took great pride in her family and their many accomplishments. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday, June 27th from 4-8pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 201-891-3400. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28th at 11am at High Mountain Presbyterian Church, 730 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to: Nantucket Conservation Foundation, P.O. Box 13, Nantucket, MA 02553-0013 and the Paterson Habitat for Humanity, 146 North 1st Street, Paterson, NJ 07522.
