Obituary of Charlotte Shemali

SHEMALI, Marguerit Charlotte, age 86 of Saddle River died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. She was born in Alexandria, Egypt and resided in Ridgewood before moving to Saddle River eight years ago. Charlotte was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, dedicating her time to the care of her family. She was a member of St. Gabriel's RC Church, Saddle River. Charlotte is survived by her devoted children; Magda (George) Boctor of Mahwah, Nora Kurtz of Saddle River, Abraham (Rosalien) Morcos of Franklin Lakes, Ramsis (Sherine) Morcos of Mahwah, Joseph (Mona) Morcos of Allendale, Solomon (Claudia) Morcos of Allendale, and Leala (Andy) Bemis of Upper Saddle River. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren; Sandria (Sid) Kurtz-Goto, Mariana (Michael) Carroll, Jeremy Morcos, Christopher Morcos, Diana Nicole (Kyle) Deschene, Lucille Morcos, Adam Morcos, Charlotte Morcos, Isaac Morcos, Stephanie Morcos, Jonathan Morcos, Amanda Bemis, Miranda Bemis, and Laura Bemis and her adoring great grandchildren, Jameson Carroll and Violet Deschene. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Isaac Morcos in 1965. The family will receive friends at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff on Sunday from 4 - 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel's RC Church, 88 E. Saddle River Road, Saddle River. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus at 11:30 am.
