Obituary of James Novell

NOVELL/NOVIELLO James Anthony "DAD", of Franklin Lakes, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Lake Worth, FL. Born in Englewood, NJ he lived in Englewood and Rutherford before moving to Franklin Lakes, 32 years ago. James served in the US Army, Third Infantry Division and was the recipient of a Purple Heart and combat infantry badge while in the Italian and North African Campaigns during World War II. He was the owner and general manager of Pasquin Ford Motors in Rutherford, NJ. He was a former member of the North Jersey Country Club for more than fifty years. James is survived by his wife Ireneanne McKeon, son James Peter and his wife Catherine; step-children Mary Ellen Robertson and her husband James Robertson, Elizabeth-Ann McKeon, Douglas McKeon and his wife Kathleen, Kristine Crevani and her husband Stephen Crevani, Jean-Marie Wolfe and her husband Scott Wolfe, and Keith McKeon and John Laurendine. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sister Esther Lombardi and her husband Ralph Lombardi, and sisters-in-law Millie, Fannie and Fran, along with many nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his first wife Josephine (Sadie) and by his four brothers John, Frank, Anthony and Joseph. Visiting hours will be Thursday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Funeral Mass will be Friday, 10:30am at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ with internment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery.
