We admired Harriet for her generosity, availability and honesty. She was known for her straight answers and a core value of "honesty being the best policy". On a lighter note even though Harriet and Henry were approximately the same age she smiled broadly when addressed as "Aunt" Harriet. Harriet Hollema was a pleasure to have in the family.

To the Hollema Family I have many memories of Harriet, the Xmas tree she made me years ago and I treasure, the times we went somewhere and got lost coming home all the time. The laughs we had over that. Her many years with th MPFD ladies Aux. and events she always put her heart into. She was one tough cookie with a heart of gold. You'll be missed by so many. Love Nancy

My Aunt Harriet and Uncle Ed were such a big part of my childhood. We spent so much of our summers at their house in the pool. Great memories! I am so sad for all of you but I know Aunt Harriet is up there in heaven with my Mom and Dad and my brother Herman and they are all having a ball! My thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Ed and all the rest of the family. Wish I could be there to join in on all the memories you all will be sharing about my awesome aunt that always had such a heart of gold! Until we meet again! God bless!

Grandma i love you so much..., you had so much influence in my life, you were always someone i could always go to; to talk to you and even if it was something i didn't want to talk to anyone else about. You always put a smile on my face even in bad times. You were such a fighter and never gave up. You taught me, my siblings and cousin's a lot when we were growing up. You made sure that you taught us to be respectful to others, to have self respect and showed us on how to treat others as we would want to be treated. You always touched so many people, you always had a smile on your face. You could make friends within seconds of meeting a stranger. All today i was just remembering all the things i remember growing up around you, the trips and vacations we took as a family, going up to the camper, spending time down at the Jersey Shore or just swimming in the pool in the backyard. I remember our very last vacation we had, it was down at the firemen's convention and even when you got hurt down there and we suggested on leaving and you said no that you would make the best of it because of grandpa and how you wanted him to spend time down there with his fellow members because you thought it would be his last time going and how you guys went down for many many years. No matter what was going on you sacrificed for others and always made someone feel good. I just can't believe your gone, i just left you 3 1/2 hours before everything happened and you seemed fine, it is still a shock to me. I know your in a better place and your watching over all of us, i'm just gonna miss you a lot, you were big thing in my life. I always looked forward to coming down to see you guys and i loved you and pop so much and i would have done anything for you both. I love you so much Grandma :)

Uncle Ed, Ebbie & Marianne: Wish I were there with you. Have been sharing Aunt Harriet memories all day. She was my second mom for so many years, and I don't think I would have even contemplated college and a challenging career without her influence and confidence. Sending you all hugs and love.
