Obituary of A. Rita Laubersheimer
LAUBERSHEIMER, A. Rita of Wyckoff died peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 17, 2008. Rita was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Wyckoff for the past 47 years. Along with her husband Ed, Rita co-owned The Clock Hardware and Gift Shop in the Wyckoff Shopping Center for more than 20 years before her retirement in 1981. Rita was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R. C. Church in Wyckoff and a faithful member of the Rosary Society. She also volunteered at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Surviving is her loving husband of 62 years, Edward R., her devoted children, Judith and Richard and his wife Janice all of Wyckoff. Rita also leaves her adoring granddaughters Kimberly, Kristen, and Alyssa, her sister Marian McCormack of New York City, her sister-in-law Patricia McCormack of Stoney Brook, NY, and her nephews Michael and John McCormack. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. Visiting is Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to; Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane #1, Totowa, NJ 07511, or Eva's Kitchen, 393 Main Street, Paterson, NJ 07501.
