Obituary of Josephine Guidera

GUIDERA, Josephine age 92 of Waldwick, died peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2008. Josephine was born in New York on July 30, 1915. She was a resident of the Bronx, NY, Edgewater and Palisades Park before moving to Waldwick 20 years ago. Josephine enjoyed spending time in the kitchen surrounded by family. Surviving are her devoted children, Rosemarie Bavaro-Puig of Mountainside, NJ, Barbara and her husband Herbert Fuchs of Bergenfield, Patricia and her husband Joseph Eitner of Waldwick, and Peter Guidera and his wife Carla of Cedar Springs, MI. She also leaves her 16 adoring grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, and her brothers Alfred and William Cassetta. Josephine was pre-deceased by her husband of 53 years Anthony Guidera in 1987, her brother John Cassetta in 2001, and her son-in-law's Vito Bavaro in 1974, Frank Puig in 1997, and Frank Sorrentino in 2004. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10am at St. Lukes R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Tpk., HoHoKus. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly. Visiting is Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
