Obituary of James Iatridis
James Iatridis age 71, of Ft. Lee died Thursday December 20, 2007. Born in Brooklyn he lived in Tenafly before moving to Ft. Lee 7 years ago. He was an Army veteran who served from 1959-1965. James was a graduate of New York University and studied at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC, and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. James became an accomplished Artist following his diagnosis of MS in 1978. His work appeared in many juried shows and has exhibited on both a national and local level. James was associated with the MS Center of Holy Name Hospital and was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Old Church Cultural Center of Demarest. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Irene (nee Pardales) Iatridis, his daughter, Alexia of Midland Park, his two sons, Andrew of Raleigh, NC and James of Burlington, VT, and his sister, Irene Ayvas of Jackson Heights, NY. He is the grandfather of Christopher and Nicholas Iatridis of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by his devoted caregiver Melina Elsharkawy of Ridgefield Park. Visiting Wednesday 2 - 4 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service Thursday 9 a.m. at St. Nicholas G.O. Church, 467 Grandview Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
