Obituary of Natalie Williams
WILLIAMS, Natalie A. (nee Imnadze), age 75 of Franklin Lakes, died on Monday, December 17, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Milwaukee, WI and was a parishioner of St. Alban's Episcopal Church of Oakland. A distinguished artist, Natalie received her education at the Art Students League, New York City and the Ridgewood Art Institute, Ridgewood, NJ where from 1991 to the present, she was also an instructor of oil painting for young people. Her works in corporate collections and private collections have been displayed at the American Broadcasting Company, Hackensack, Pennsylvania State University, Valley Hospital, Ridgewood and Chantico Publishing Company, Carlton, TX. Her on-site landscape painting includes Dedham and St. Ives in England, Nova Scotia, Isle of Olean and Canadian Rockies in Canada, Eagle Nest and Taos in New Mexico, Nantucket in Massachusetts, and other works in Montana, Vermont, New York and New Jersey. The list of awards and exhibitions that Natalie has been involved with include but are not limited to the J.B. REYNOLDS AWARD, Salmagundi Club, New York, the ART TIMES AWARD at Hudson Valley Art Association, NY, THE DIRECTORS AWARD, Grand National AAPL Show, New York, BEST ATMOSPHERIC EFFECT Grand National AAPL Show, NY, the HUDSON VALLEY ART AWARD, RAI National Show, Bergen Museum, NJ, the GOLD MEDAL at Knickerbocker Artists, Salmagundi Club, New York, NY, the COMMENDATION by THE JUSISTS AAPL, Princeton, NJ, and the BEST IN SHOW, Bedford Art Show, Bedford, NY. Natalie was a life member at the Ridgewood Art Institute where she was also a member of the board of directors - program and awards chairperson, and education chairman from 1980 to 1994. She is survived by her beloved husband Edward, her two dear daughters; Claudia Beyda and her husband Peter of Franklin Lakes and Denise Kunhardt and her husband Kenneth of Bedford, NY, her six grandchildren; Nicole, Sarah and Michael Beyda and Edward, Emily and Katharine Kunhardt. She is also survived by her two sisters; Irene Scott of Prescott Valley, AZ and Vera Carlsen of San Diego, CA. She was predeceased by her sister Zina Laffman. Following cremation, the family will have a private funeral service. A memorial service will take place at a future date in January and will be announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Ridgewood Art Institute, 12 East Glen Ave. Ridgewood, NJ 07450, would be appreciated.
