The quote “in the end it is not the years in your life that count but the life in yours years that matter” could of been written about Nicole. She not only experienced the trial and tribulation of growing up but also matured to a point of being beacon of light for those she crossed path with, whether family, friend or acquaintance. For those of us that are left to try and reason through and fill a void left by this apparent tragedy, I encourage you to remember the Lord has a unique plan for all of us. May the power of prayer be with us all, especially the family, to comfort and guide all back to greener pastures and calmer waters. It is not in the answers to the whys or how’s of past that will get us there but in the what is it we need to be do going forwarded, if in doubt that is the time to search out that beacon to reflect with for a moment. It is written the Lord is our shepherd thou shall not want and I am confident Nikki is not wanting except for us to keep her memory alive by how we live going forward. I would cherish one more opportunity to split a NACHO appetizer with her one more time.
