Obituary of Robert Cornett
Robert R. Cornett, age 84 of Wyckoff died Friday, December 14, 2007. Born in Clifton he lived in Elmwood Park before coming to Wyckoff in 1965. Robert was a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnical University in 1963 and received his Master Degree in Civil Engineering from NYU in 1965. He also received his Professional Engineering Certification for New Jersey and New York in 1966. Before his retirement in 1991 he was a Civil Engineer for Malcolm Pirnie of Paramus, NJ. Robert was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Fair Lawn where her served as a Church Trustee and Usher and was involved in many ministries of the Church. He was a member of the Ridgewood Photo Club and the Photographic Society of America and entered his photo slides into competitions in which he won many awards. Robert was a navy veteran who served on a Destroyer Escort Ship during WW II. Surviving is his wife Anna (nee Peko) Cornett of Wyckoff, his sister, Gloria Everett of Wayne and two nephews, David Everett of Old Chatham, NY and Gregg Everett of Madison, NJ. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service Tuesday 9 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 22-15 Broadway, Fair Lawn, NJ.
