Obituary of Amelia Tallon

Amelia Tallon age 87 of Chestnut Ridge, NY formerly of Island Park, NY, died peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020. Born in the Philippines, Amelia came to the United States in 1955 settling with her family in California before coming to New York in 1963. She was a translator for the Dept. of Social Services in Mineola, NY until her retirement in 2002. Amelia is survived by her children, Mary Jaffe, Elizabeth Tallon-Kotsopriftis and Robert Tallon. Amelia also leaves 4 grandchildren, Heather, Ben, Athena and Olivia and her sisters, Linda Kuylenstierna and Helen Brennan. She was pre-deceased by her husband Al in 1997 and her son Michael in 2004. Due to the ever changing scenario of the Covid-19/Coronavirus situation, Amelia’s family has decided to hold private services. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Once a date has been decided, the website will be updated accordingly. The family thanks you for your understanding in this matter. In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions in Amelia’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
