I don’t know why Sally popped into my mind this morning. I knew Sally and her family at Irving Park CRC and my mom bought her vacuums from John. I used to play with Sally on a Sunday afternoon from time to time. She was three years older than I was and she showed me how to play puzzles that she was so good at! I remember when she got a job at American Cyanamid and I guess she stayed with that company throughout the changes over the years. I’m sure the people in Sally’s life miss her. She was very sweet and very special.

Sally was a joy to work with! Her sweet smile and strong hugs were precious to me and so many others at Pfizer and Wyeth before that. Sally would often ask how my husband was doing; she knew he had been sick in the past and I was touched by her caring heart. Over the years I got to know that Sally would often travel to visit a sister over special holidays. It was a comfort to know that Sally had a loving family and was a woman of faith and prayer. We shared March 29, 2019 as the day we both retired from Pfizer although, Sally had served 30 more years than I did by that time. Her dedication to the people she served was touching and made our workplace feel more like family. Each day Sally faithfully joined her mailroom family at the long lunch table in the cafeteria and would smile with her shining eyes as those whose lives she touched walked by. I thank God for the gift of having worked with and loved dear Sally.

Dear Cindy, Joel and Bonnie,
We were deeply saddened to find out that your dear sister Sally went home to be with our Lord and her Savior and we herewith wish to extend our Christian sympathy to you. We remember Sally very well at Irving Park Church and when we moved to Florida we would visit NJ once a year and worship at Cedar Hill CRC and would always see smiling Sally and she was always so glad to see us. No matter what time you arrived at church Sally was there to greet you. We used to visit back and forth with your wonderful parents Mae and John and also bought our first Electrolux vacuum from John. Always enjoy their company! We loved the whole family ! In 1990 we moved to Florida and then in 2008 moved to Raleigh to be near our daughter Lois and our son Kenneth lives in Oklahoma. I don't know if you remember us at all but are both 92 now and celebrated a 71st wedding anniversary in February so we feel very blessed.
We hope that you and your families are staying healthy especially during these times when we are dealing with this virus. We are now living at a place called The Cypress and have a small apartment and we are so glad that they send over a meal every day. Lois and her husband keep us supplied with breakfast and lunch food. We can get our church service on streaming video and now our pastor also gives a live streaming devotion daily which is a great way to keep in touch. Bea & Neil Belanus
