"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."
No words could express my sorrow. Your departure has left a deep memory in my heart. May your soul find comfort in God's arms and in Saint Rita's gentle embrace.
In love and gratitude,
Yuli

To my beautiful sister, Rita: What a gift God gave me when He singled you out and said, "Rita there will be a child coming after you who will need you to watch over her." I cherish our close, loving relationship and our wonderful conversations on your deck that solved the world's problems. I will miss terribly not hearing your voice and seeing your beautiful face. You were gifted in so many ways and I am a grateful recipient of your love, your wisdom, your giving heart and your spiritual depth. You were everything to everyone who knew you...your wonderful husband, Bill, your children, your grandchildren, extended family and all of your friends and acquaintances. You have been a joy and an inspiration to all of us. Your culinary gifts were exceptional and I still hear people praising your "Green LaSagna." Every Tuesday, Mother Teresa's Sisters appreciated your wonderful dinners for them. No matter what situation arose, you were always the first one there to lend support...with compassion, with a phone call, a visit, a gift. a prayer, a Mass. You anticipated a need and you went in a most gentle manner where "Angels Fear to Tread." I think at times we will all hear your soft voice in our ears guiding us...or touching us with your magnificent Soprano voice. That's what they do in Heaven. I cherish your last gift to me...a statue of "Our Lady of Grace." So meaningful to me... then and even more now.
Rita, I love you so much. You are truly the "Wind Beneath My Wings." Your long-suffering is over and I am sure St. Rita has met our 2nd St. Rita. My! How you loved her.
I could go on forever. You are a treasure I will hold in my heart for the rest of my days...and I know that the day I approach those "pearly gates," if there is any doubt about letting me through those gates...my "Big" Sister Rita will be there with her arm extended...pulling me in...saying "that's my litte Sister, Grace...and she has people to see here."
Goodbye my Precious Sister...But not for long. Always in my heart, Grace
