Obituary of Frank Colonese

Colonese, Frank M. born on the seventh day of November, 1934, entered into eternal life in heaven on the fourth day of January, 2020. Frank passed peacefully in the arms of his three daughters; Allyson, Angela and Patricia, in his home of 54 years in Wyckoff, New Jersey. Frank was born in Christ Hospital in Jersey City and grew up in West New York, New Jersey, where he met his wife Alice while attending Memorial High School. After graduation, Frank when on to proudly serve his country in The United States Navy during the Korean War. After four years of honorable service aboard the destroyer; The U.S.S. Goodrich, from 1952 to 1956, he returned home and married Alice on April 19, 1958. They went on to have three children to whom they both dedicated their lives. Frank was devoted to his wife, to his children, his extended family and to his friends. It was his life's purpose and passion to help others and to make the world a better place for all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Frank had an extraordinary faith and trust in God and a remarkable devotion to Saint Francis. Frank was a former parishioner of Saint Elizabeth's Church in Wyckoff and a current parishioner of Saint Gabriel's Church in Saddle River, New Jersey. Frank is the former President and CEO of UTZ Technologies, having a corporate headquarters in Clifton, New Jersey and later expanding his company to San Marcos, California and eventually, opening a third office in Tijuana, Mexico. Frank leaves behind his three devoted daughters; Allyson, Angela and Patricia, having been predeceased by his beloved wife; Alice in September of 2010. Frank was also predeceased by his mother; Angela in 1949, and his father; Fred in 1951. Left to mourn and too numerous to mention are his beloved brother Nappy, his cousins; Anthony Graziano and Vincent Graziano whom he always felt were brothers to him, his extended family whom he loved and his friends that were like family to him, most especially; Frank Altieri and Elias Malfavon. The Colonese family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 11, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will be in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
