Obituary of Marilyn R. Matarese

Marilyn R. Matarese passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the age of 90. Born in Clifton, NJ, she was a long time resident of Franklin Lakes. Marilyn was a member of the Ridgewood Singers, the Franklin Lakes Seniors, was a folk art painter, enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, organic gardening, going to the beach and antiquing. She loved animals and her pets and was an active member of the Grace Bible Church in North Haledon. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband John A. Matarese in 2011. She is survived by her four children John Matarese, Brenda Albertini, Debra O’Reilly, her husband John, Lou Albertini, his wife Debbie; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will be held on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, 369 High Mountain Rd., North Haledon, NJ 07508. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
