I just found out about Alex’s passing. My condolences to Alex’s family. I worked for Alex back in the mid 80 to 90’s at Jacoby @ Meyers. He was. A mentor, a friend and a proud father. We shared many stories over lunch or on the train ride home at night He loved to talk about his kids, family NY Giants, cars and life in general. We reconnected a few years back over a few lunches and all the memories came back of the good times we shared. Rest in piece Alex : Allan Rabinowitz

I was Alex's Fraternity brother and have many good memories of us living in the house on campus. The summer before our senior year Alex was president and was looking for brothers to join him at the Theta Chi National Convention in Miami. The 3 of us flew down to Miami Beach and checked into the Eden Roc Hotel. Alex looking to improve his leadership skills went to every session at the hotel, while Chuck and I went to the beach to work on our tans. That was the type of guy he was in college.
I want to express my condolences to the family for their loss … Alex was special … RIP.

“What I remember most was Alex’s engaging smile and warm welcome when ever you saw him. He adored Diane and his eyes lit up whenever he looked at her.
John and I had many wonderful times with Alex and Diane whether it was dinners or golf.
One of the classics was when Alex was down in the sand trap on 6w.
He chipped up and the ball landed above the hole, i offered to mark it for him. When I replaced it, I put down a ball that zig zagged. No one else knew, he went nuts, the caddies stood in disbelief, and then he tried the shot again!
Alex will be missed and the fun stories will go on forever!”

Please allow me to add my heartfelt sympathies to the extended family of Alexander Comandini on the news of his passing.
I consider myself fortunate to have been one of Alex's Theta Chi Fraternity brothers during our time together time at Rider College (now Rider University). While literally a half-century will have passed by in the interim, those days were special to all in our brotherhood. Alex was a great part of our "House", and will be remembered as a respected brother, mentor, and a friend to all.
Many of us last saw Alex at a Theta Chi reunion a few years back in Princeton; we will hold that memory with us. God bless, Alex.

When I think of Alex I think of his big warm smile. What I admired most about Alex was how he adored his wife Diane. He was always by her side. I am certain Diane will miss him dearly. We all will!

Alex was our " Cousin from America" as I always heard from my family. His mom, aunt Angela, known by all of us as "Zia Lina” (aunt Lena), was from Italy and she moved to NY when she was still young and started a new life there without ever forgetting where she came from. In fact, despite the difficulties of those years, she always tried to come to visit her relatives in Italy.
Her love for her family was so strong and it was passed on to her children Alex and Teresa.
I actually met him when I went for the first time in NY in 2005. I contacted him and he wanted to show me the city spending all day just walking around all the streets of NY practicing his Italian.
The last time that I saw him was the day of my wedding (2014) here in Treviso, I remember that he told me " I will not miss it for the World!"
He was proud to be Italian and my family and I will continue to remember him through his memories.
From all of us our deepest condolence.. he will be always in our hearts and our prayers.
His Italian family,
Michela and my husband Alberto, my dad Amedeo (one of his first cousin) my brothers Marco and Francesco

I loved my Uncle Alex. My Aunt Teresa and Uncle Alex are my godparents. They both loved me and cared for me as a little girl. I have been very blessed to have him for my uncle. He was my mom's Marie Comandini's little brother and he always made me and my brothers Robert and Joseph Bartolanzo laugh. He used to sing to us "Here comes Uncle Al, the kiddies pal, Hello little friends, hello." Love you always Uncle Alex. I will say prayers for him and his wife Diane. Love, Ann Marie Bartolanzo Keys

We will always remember all the good times with Alex especially in Naples, Florida where he enjoyed golf and relaxed on the beach.
Alex and Diane were always the most graceful couple in the ballroom.
Alex will be missed by all. Love, Janette and Ken
