My Prayers & Deepest Condolences to the D'Agosta family. Dom was such a beautiful soul always with a smile on his face. He fought so hard and truly will be missed. During this difficult time please try to find peace through all of this knowing that he is no longer suffering.

To all our friends and relatives who shared their feelings and thoughts about Dom we say thank you. It was heartwarming to know that so many of you thought so highly of him, as we did. Whatever he was involved in he gave it his all and cared. Our thanks for your shared remembrances of his friendship, and dedication to his commitments. He will be missed.

Dearest Deanna, Jamie, Todd, Dana and the entire family,
I feel sad at the loss of such a good friend, a kind and compassionate man. Dominick was a clear thinker and our morning coffee think tanks were fun and boisterous as we tried to solve the world problems. He introduced us to Surf City and the memorable good times that our family have shared with your family are cherished. My children and grandchildren looked forward to his visits and being with the entire family at the July 4 parties.
During March Madness, Dom tried his hand in the brackets that I was participating in at work. He was consistently at the bottom and with good humor. Most recently Dom and I had a crumb cake competition and to our surprise both bakeries used similar recipes!
I am so sorry that I could not be there with you today and tomorrow but I am with you in spirit.

I got to know Dom through Nela and Todd, he is a positive influence on all he touched.
My memory, catching the pesky squirrel around Halloween at Todd and Nela’s and Dom’s joy upon success. He liked and lived a lot, squirrels were not on that list.

It's hard to believe, but I have known Dominick and his family for about 20 years. There have been countless horseshoe tournaments, belly laughs, and good times in Surf City. But one of my favorite memories of Dominick comes from this past summer.
Every Saturday morning at the shore, Dominick would come over to have an espresso with my Dad. Oftentimes, he would generously come with warm bagels or sweet pastries. We always looked forward to his visit and to hear his stories. Even my son, Cameron, eagerly waited for Dominick to arrive.
As my Dad and Dominick caught up and held adult conversations over coffee, Cameron constantly interrupted so he could show Dominick one of his toy cars. Regardless of how many times Cameron interrupted (which was probably over 10 times), Dominick always showed interest in each and every car that Cameron handed him. Dominick always made Cameron feel as though he was also part of the conversation- as if he was one of the guys. Needless to say, our Saturday mornings will not be the same.
To Deanna, Todd, Jamie, Dana and the gang-
Dominick was an all around amazing father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He was always the life of the party. I am so lucky to have known him and have these memories at the jersey shore with all of you. My son and I will never forget him. He will be sorely missed.

To Deanna, Jamie, Todd, and Dana, and your families, our heartfelt sympathy.
There are some people who enrich the lives of everyone they meet. That was Dom. He was generous, kind, principled, respected, a consummate host, funny, and a joy to be around. He reminded us of what was important: family, friendship, community. And he made us laugh til our sides hurt. There is a void now, but Dom would insist that we fill it with great memories, laughter, and, of course, champagne.

Dominick D’Agosta was a true and terrific friend of our family. He was a fixture in our lives, and it’s tough to know we won’t all get to hang with him again. Dom was kind, generous, perennially upbeat, and an absolute gentleman. He could find a connection with just about anyone. Dominick had a special knack for being able to hold a short meaningful conversation with anyone, and the person would leave smarter, with renewed confidence, almost enlightened.
Dom was one of my dad’s closest friends, if not the closest, for decades. His family and our family were also close neighbors in Surf City, NJ. I’ll remember him forever, always being incredibly interesting, funny, and full of life. So many great memories. Thank you for being such a terrific friend to my Dad. My condolences to Deanna and his kids. Hope the coffee cake is up to snuff where you are. If you give us an address we will send you some. Love you Dom. Carl, jr jr.

Dom, simply, was full of life! A neighbor who became a best friend. Dom was also full of himself. He loved a good laugh and would tell hilarious stories about things he did -like leaving his new Mercedes running outside the front door of his favorite restaurant in Jersey City, assuming the regular valet would park it, as usual. After lunch, he learned it was the valet’s day off! His Mercedes was found weeks later, a little for the worse, by the police. When Dominick and Deanna visited us in Florida with another couple we took them out for dinner. At the restaurant, I had a terrific Charlie Horse (leg cramp) that forced me to jump up and run from the table, surprising Dom and others. On the way home, Dom driving ahead of us in traffic, stopped his car, jumped out and ran around as I had done, faking a charlie horse!
There were countless other times we would just enjoy being together having fun. This New Year’s Eve will be a bit sadder for the Murdock’s. Dom will be missed, but never forgotten.

I always thought of Dominick as my dad's younger brother. All through my youth our families spent a lot of time together, at LBI, at Nanni's...so many places they enjoyed. After our dad passed he was always looking out for our mom. What a tremendous, kind, generous, delightful man Dominick was! We all loved him and we will always remember him with great fondness. My condolences to his wonderful family.

I like to think that we become like our godparents. In my case I pray that this is true. My godfather had a way of making me feel seen whenever I talked with him. He will be missed but I will continue to tell his funny stories as life goes on.

It was my good fortune to serve with Dom on the Board of Youth Consultation Services. He was a champion for the children served by YCS. He accomplished much because he was not afraid to take risks and make decisions. In the last year under Dom's leadership YCS solved critical financial issues. His experience in the bank business was heavily relied on by the Board. A most important decision to hire a CEO was very demanding. However Dom never let problems interfere with the way we went about screening candidates and ultimately making a decision which was a excellent result. These are small examples of the impact of a man who in my opinion helped to save YCS as it went through many storms.
Thanks Dom and God bless your family

One of the luckiest days of my life was buying a house on LBI, then meeting my next door neighbor, Dom D'Agosta. In those 25+ years I have learned to respect, admire and love the man and all the qualities he displays on a daily basis. A truly class act in all that he does. If you knew him, you loved him. It was my honor to have him as my dearest friend. There is an empty spot in my heart now, but I'm sure it fill back up with all of the memories of the times we shared together. The parties, the laughs, the drinks, the conversations. Rest in Peace my friend.

Our deepest sympathy to the D’Agosta Family.
Dom was like family to us. We met on our honeymoon 57 years ago and celebrated our anniversary together every year in New York City when everything was decorated for Christmas.
We really enjoyed getting together every summer in Long Beach Island at Deanna and Dom’s house.
He will be greatly missed, he had a great outlook on life. May you Rest In Peace.

Dear Deana,Todd, Jamie, Dana and family, Dominick was my oldest and best friend. I loved him like a brother. He was kind, empathetic and generous. Dom, always the best dressed in any gathering, was gregarious, fun-loving and anything but soft spoken. He commanded the room. I loved his intellect, wit and common sense. A clear thinker. I will cherish the football games at West Point, season tickets we shared at Seaton Hall basketball games and hundreds of summer holidays we celebrated on LBI. His life was one of service. Youth Counselling Service, The United Way, Hudson Council of the Boy Scouts of America’s were but a few of the organizations he chaired. I was honored to serve with him on 6 board of directors. He handled his recent illness the same way he lived his life; with grace, dignity, and a willingness to serve mankind while receiving treatment for himself. I am a better person for having known Dominick. Please accept my sincere and heartfelt condolences. I will terribly miss my friend. Carl
