Allie- I may not have known you for very long, but after spending time with you on that trip to Brazil, I felt as if I had known you for years. What a beautiful person inside and out. At night, when it was time to go to bed, I would hear your laugh from the next cabin over and it would put a smile on my face. That infectious laugh will live on forever. I know we were only together for a short time, but I felt that we had become close friends. Even after the trip, I loved that we were able to stay in contact. I wish we had more time together, but you were called home and heaven gained another beautiful angel. My mission is to carry on that compassion with my patients just as you did with those villagers in Brazil. You not only made a huge impact on them, but with me as well. Thank you for teaching me what it is like to be an amazing human being. Our trip together in Brazil will be treasured in my heart forever. Love you Allie!

She was one of my close friends during my time as volunteer at Camp Sunshine & Camp Snowflake. I know her during the summer time, yet I know know her for since 2015. I can't imagine how time flies, yet one of my friends told me aboutwhat happened. I'd never imagine how tragic this might be. I played tristate lacrosse with Allie, and she was my first friend on the team... her and Christin. I was so scared to do anything without my friends from home; was entirely out of my comfort zone. Allie and Christin immediately took me out of that. Allies warm personality and smile welcomed me the first day and I felt like we had been friends for years. I will never forget the games, the dinner with our families, and the road trips. I was truly blessed to know Allie. I even got to see her this past summer and reconnect. We were both so excited since it had been a few years. I will always remember the positive, beautiful friend that made everyone feel welcome, Allie. I am sending all my love to the family and friends during this time

Allie, never met you in person,but I had the pleasure of working with your father. He often spoke about his children and there achievements. He was and is very proud of your accomplishments. I know you will be missed by family and friends, but I also know he (Dr.G), a warm compassionate and inspiring person by nature will miss you dearly. As I read your tribute, I noted both you and father shared a lot of qualities. Allie- I don’t know what to say. Had I had known, I would have locked you in the cabin in Manaus. Words cannot express my sadness and love for you and your family. The time that I had w you will always be treasured hence you beautiful, wild, resilient, strong and amazing spirit. The energy and compassion you brought to the trip and others was truly felt via the way you held the kids and gave all you had via offering the best care for many. Sometimes lives our cut short via our path and purpose...God needed another angel to overlook and take care of those needing love, healing from your experiences here in earth. I know your spirit and compassion will continue to have a ripple effect for years to come. I did not know Allie. I worked with her father, Dr. Garbely for more than several years at Temple Episcopal Hospital. I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful young woman, who clearly radiated sunshine and love. Oh How sad I am to see this. Allie: a terrific athlete, who always aimed to please her coaches and team mates. The smile of an angel. I will always remember soccer and lax games where Allie's Mom, Dad (who traveled hours to see his daughter at every game, regardless of the time)step dad, and siblings who all supported and cheered her on. I met Allie when she was 2 years old. I laid eyes upon her as she stood looking into my screen door with the most beautiful saucer like blue eyes. Allie came into my life sophomore year of college at University of Delaware and changed it for the better. I felt so alone in my sorority until one day, this beautiful soul down the hall moved in - ALLIE! <3 We spent time together every day and talked about life. We agreed on so many things and she brought such light into my life. When she left Delaware she sent me two beautiful paintings she had done in the mail, along with another small gift. I will cherish these paintings forever as they still hang on my wall today. thank god Allie left me something behind.
